How to Measure

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

measure women's pants

Natural Waist:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

Hip/Seat:

Measure the fullest point between your natural waist and crotch.

Inseam:

Measure from your crotch down to the desired length on body. You may also measure pants that you currently own and like. Lay the garment flat and smooth out. Measure on the front from the crotch point along the seam to the hem for the inseam length.

To Tight, To Long, Not the Size Stated on the Pants
Sturdy, tough wearing..... it seems. I've worn 34/34 for 30 years. Every pant in my closet is 34/34. Admittedly I've got about 10 pounds of winter weight to knock off, but still, all my other pants continue to fit me. These are to tight to button, and, the 2nd bite of the poison apple, to long. I'll drop the 10 pounds and be able to button the pants, but it'll be a tight fit. I guess once I get into them I'll see about the length. Maybe have my wife do something about it. A number of people complained about a tight fit. Why is that, 34 inches is 34 inches. It's not complicated. I hate sending things back. I'm going to be reluctant to buy pants from Carhartt in the future. The only place I didn't get true 34/34 pants, since....ever.

I’ve been buying these Carhartt work Pants for some time - usually when I visit family and friends in California. Good quality but they do wear out eventually, even with the double front. My next buy will be a new work Jacket for the coming winter here in the Welsh Hills. Many thanks Carhartt

Unfortunately the trousers have had to be returned as the 36w 32 leg was too small in the waist. All my other trousers are this size and fit perfectly. I’ll reorder a larger size once the credit has been received.
