I live at 7500ft in Colorado on the Palmer Divide. We get lots of snow, ice, and frigid temperatures in winter. This is the warmest jacket I have ever owned. I am out every day taking care of animals, no matter the weather, and this jacket has made the job more comfortable during the winter weather. On the coldest days I pair it with the carhartt insulated bib and I have yet to feel cold with that duo. The outer shell has held up well to all the beating it takes (I have used and abused the jacket over the past 3 years). It washes and dries well. The various pockets give me plenty of room for tools, gloves, phone, and whatever else I may need. The hand pockets are nice and deep. I find the chest pocket particularly useful for the tools and meds I need when working with animals since it is secure but also highly accessible. The inner liner is soft and comfy. The long length gives you lots of coverage and even allows you to sit without getting a wet cold behind.
The one issue I have had was the main zipper pull broke off in the wash the first or second time, but that is only a minor inconvenience in my book. I would definitely purchase this coat again. I bought one as a gift for my Mom as well as one in the Men's version for my husband. It truly is a great jacket and worth the cost.

SO WARM!
I am OBSESSED with this coat! I needed a new winter coat as I didn't really have one and this one has been a life saver. It is so warm and comfortable and I love the number of pockets. We just got 8 inches of snow and I'm still warm with this jacket on!
My only complaint is that it is a little too bulky sometimes, such as for wearing a purse, but I think that's hard to avoid with a warm jacket. Plus I'll take the warmth over my purse any day!!!
Overall, this is the best winter coat I've owned to date.
