I have three pair of these pants and they are the best winter pants I've ever worn being a gene. I've tried every fleece line gene out there, and these are hands down the winner. I do agree, though some of the toughness is not prevalent in some of the Carhartt products now. They used to be bulletproof construction now they're not as much unfortunately
I also agree that the rise is a little discomforting if you're doing heavy work in these pants
Other than a few minor clips these are my go to and the stretch in these things is so awesome. Makes it the most comfortable jean I've ever worn

Warm As Hell
-10 Today and i put my overalls on over them, but when i took my overalls off i was mad as i didnt need them at all td the pants and my base layer were all i needed

Great jeans
Great jeans. Fit nice. Cost too much. Helps stop that wind blowing through the pants. Like the below waist fit.
