Storm Defender®
Storm Defender® waterproof, breathable technology stops rain, but lets sweat escape through a breathable membrane ― so you can work through a storm.
Staying dry, focused, and safer is easier with rainwear featuring Storm Defender® waterproof breathable technology. It’s made to keep you completely protected from rain and amazingly comfortable inside. Work doesn’t stop when it rains; it just gets harder. Lugging rain soaked garments around adds to the misery, but Carhartt’s jobsite worthy raingear cuts the discomfort.
Idk how anyone can say they're getting wet wearing these. I have 1 pair that's 3 years old and another pair that's only 1 year old. I wear mine for about 3 months out of the year in rain and snow. Working on my knees, chemicals and oils, etc. They're excellent. At the end of the work day my legs are dry. I've even convinced several of my coworkers to buy them. As long as carhart makes these bibs, I'll keep buying them. My ONLY complaints are sometimes my boys get pinched a little when I sit down, and I honestly don't like the front pockets. But that isn't why I bought the bibs in the first place. And I did happen to lightly split the seam on the side of the older pair cause I'm a fairly husky guy.

Solid build quality and good water proofing
Review from 6 months farm labor
I'm 5' 8" 150 lbs and got a regular small
Would recommend a short small for someone my size because the legs were a few inches longer than I'd like, even after using the velcro straps. I didn't use these too heavily so I didn't experience any real wear but build quality was on par. Waterproofing is pretty excellent. I work in rain, mud, wet conditions and water was always kept out. Kneeling is mud/wet leaves for a while can start to get a little uncomfortable. Stayed warm with a layer of jeans/carpenter pants underneath below freezing temps, but I havent worn them in snow yet. The side pockets were placed lower down than I would like and having them be zippered instead of velcro would have been nice. Also some additional smaller pcokets for holding small tools. But definitely would recommend for anyone needing something to go over a layer of clothes for tough conditions.

The quality is great but the leg is too long. I am 74" tall and wear 32" inseam pants. I had to return XL-tall size and get XL-short. When I am in conditions that require Storm Defender pants I will wear rubber muck boots. I do not want the pant cuffs stacked around my ankles or draped over the heels collecting water and mud. The short size fits me but I cannot see them fitting shorter people.
