Storm Defender®
Storm Defender® waterproof, breathable technology stops rain, but lets sweat escape through a breathable membrane ― so you can work through a storm.
Staying dry, focused, and safer is easier with rainwear featuring Storm Defender® waterproof breathable technology. It’s made to keep you completely protected from rain and amazingly comfortable inside. Work doesn’t stop when it rains; it just gets harder. Lugging rain soaked garments around adds to the misery, but Carhartt’s jobsite worthy raingear cuts the discomfort.
Great jacket. Should have got a smaller size because it runs big. Can't wear it.

Almost perfect
I would give this jacket 5 stars if it had a drawstring at the waist.
Otherwise it's great, typical solid Carhartt construction. Fit is good and the hood can cover a hard hat.

Bring back the old jacket
This jacket is inferior in every aspect to the one it replaced. Carhartt has made in cheaper while still charging the same price. They removed the mesh lining and the outside material feels like a Hefty garbage bag. The hood is way too large and swallows my whole head and some. I work outdoors and need a good ANSI rated jacket and this new one is a joke.

Close to Perfect.
Make this in orange hi vis , make the hood removable or easy to fit under a hard hat and it's absolutely perfect , Otherwise it is still a great jacket to add to your rain pack-out .

Great function, but could use zippered vents. Keeps you dry, but has zero insulation factor
