Rugged Flex®
Carhartt Rugged Flex® technology moves and stretches with you throughout the day so that whatever you're doing, it's easier to do.
Rugged Flex® garments must meet the Carhartt's defined standards for stretch, recovery, and durability, so when you put on a Rugged Flex® garment, you know it won't let you down. You'll find Rugged Flex® in shorts, shirts, pants, jackets, and boots because you need gear that helps you move, not gear that holds you back.
Front pockets are too shallow but otherwise love the fit and warmth

Horribly Redesigned Front Pockets
This is the second pair of this exact model pant that I have bought. The first pair is perhaps the most comfortable pair of pants I have ever worn. I ordered the same pair, but found a major flaw. The front pockets have been redesigned. Whereas my previous pair has deep pockets that allow pocket knives and flashlights to be protected by the pocket guard, the new pockets stop at the bottom of the pocket guard and then angle sharply towards the front of the pants. This prevents you from putting a knife or flashlight into the pockets without them having to twist forward and block the rest of the pocket. Having to twist so far forward also kicks the clip off of the pocket guard, making it useless in the first place. A massive oversight from Carhartt and I'm not sure why they redesigned a perfect product in the first place. The pants are otherwise perfect, but such a big issue really hurts the pants for me.
