Carhartt and Licensing Partners Join Forces to Donate Essential Gear Towards Ukraine Relief Efforts

DEARBORN, MI - Carhartt, America's iconic workwear brand, has been committed to serving and protecting hardworking people for more than 130 years. Throughout the company's storied history, it has not shied away from doing what's right, and during this tumultuous time for so many, Carhartt is joining in the global relief effort to help citizens of Ukraine.

Carhartt (US and EMEA) and its partners recently donated more than 400,000 pieces of Carhartt gear (including jackets, pants, shirts, socks, etc.) to the Convoy of Hope Crisis Relief Fund, along with toiletries and other necessities. The initiative is helping provide shelter, food, water, hygiene kits, clothing and other necessities to displaced Ukrainians. The shipment will distribute items that are in short supply to the people of Ukraine who are fleeing to Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic and surrounding regions.

The company also joined forces with its licensee CID Resources to ship roughly 2,200 pieces of medical-grade scrubs to Team Rubicon, whose mobile medical teams are providing crucial patient care to displaced people in Western Ukraine.

ā€œA core belief at Carhartt is that our actions must always speak louder than our words,ā€ said Mark Valade, Chief Executive Officer at Carhartt. ā€œSeeing the devastation and displacement of so many Ukrainians spurred our urge to lend a helping hand, which is why we remain committed to supporting organizations like Convoy of Hope and Team Rubicon who are on the ground and delivering resources to help those in need.ā€

Many of Carhartt's own associates have also provided emergency kits, monetary donations or other goods on a voluntary basis, and the company proudly recognizes them for their generosity and important contribution to the effort to support the needs of Ukrainian refugees during this crisis.

While Carhartt, Inc. does not currently operate business in Ukraine or Russia, the company is dedicated to backing its associates and partner organizations that share in its vision to build a better world with all hardworking people.
