How to Measure

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

measure men's coat

Chest:

Measure just under arms and across shoulder blades holding the tape firm and level. If your chest falls between sizes, order the next size up.

Natural Waist:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

Great jacket for surviving wisconsins hellish winters and working outside.
So I have owned many jackets, and have had multiple carhartt products. So my review is based on all of it (I have the Yukon extreme overalls, a pair of black canvas overalls, & the traditional super stiff duck jacket) Personally for me, this jacket is my favorite one that I've owned. Even compared to expensive lightweight snowboarding jackets. It's got everything you can want in a jacket. It's well made, it has elastic around the wrists and waist to keep it sealed. The zippers are heavy duty and feel quality. It has the warmth of something much heavier and larger, but the mobility of a thick windbreaker. It's also VERY water resistant. Water rolls off of it like rain-x on a windshield. Plenty of pockets. Only complaint I have is sometimes it'll slide up when bending alot, but that's to be expected with the elastic bottom. Maybe if it were an inch or so longer. I got the Large loose fit, I'm 5'10" 175lbs. And it fits perfect. Overall 10/10. Worth the $200.
