How to Measure

Note: For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

measure men's coat

Chest:

Measure just under arms and across shoulder blades holding the tape firm and level. If your chest falls between sizes, order the next size up.

Natural Waist:

Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.

Great cold winter coat for New England and the Mid-Atlantic
I love this coat for the coldest winter days. I am not afraid to wear it due to the tougher nylon exterior. I found the fit to be pretty true to Carhartt size and wear a large. The only slightly adjustment might be to open up the shoulders or make a nicer shoulder gusset like in the canvas jackets, but for my build it's good enough and I can easily fit a hoodie underneath, or another puffy mid layer. When it's this cold out, I don't typically need to test out the DWR coating, but watching the snow melt and bead off gives me enough confidence with the understanding this certainly isn't a rain coat. The only other criticism is the lower hand pockets are awkward, and they should either raise these up higher on the coat, or put 2 more pockets above as almost waist/chest pockets for your hands. My arms are almost completely extended in order to reach the bottom pockets.
