Gear that’s been rated WARM does its best work in cooler temps. Those cool fall and early spring mornings when a sweatshirt alone just won’t cut it, but anything warmer will have you overheating before you’re even out the door. Get LEVEL 1 rated warmth in the most rugged and versatile, lightweight jackets, coats, and active jacs out there.
Very warm. Loose fit. I'm usually a large tall in Carhartt but went with a large as it runs a bit long. I also have a medium. I reach for the medium if I'm wearing a casual shirt and the large if wearing a sweatshirt. I have both the black and the old green. Arm holes are smaller than usual so beware, a size too small may cut you in the pits. Also there is no hem adjustment so it hangs loose if you are not perfectly proportionate to Carhartt standards. It fits well enough on me but the arm holes bug me if I wear it too long.
Oh and need more colors! Black attracts all manner of everything to it. So if you don't want to look like a lint magnet, lint roller everyday is your friend.

Warm
Blocks wind. Looks good. Only complaint is the collar is a little stiff and doesn't sit flat.

Collar is Horrible
I do not like how the collar has a crease on each side that you can't get out. I would not buy again. The picture doesn't show how bad the collar is creased.
