Durable but stiff and pricey
Hood is nice, same material as coverall. It's very stiff, not a soft hood. Like a snap on helmet. It's ridiculous that the hood is not included with the coveralls at the prices they charge.

Unable to get the hood to match.
The jacket is nice but they no longer make the hood and it's not in stock anywhere. I don't understand why they sell it without the hood and it's super unfortunate that I got the jacket being told I could buy it online but that's wrong. Even more unfortunate is I'm unable to return the jacket.
Makes me super hesitant to purchase from Carhartt in the future.

In the dead of winter, when I am out on a snow removal job or a pipeline, I am happy that I wear this coat. It keeps me warm, and there is plenty of movement. It would've been nice if I didn't have to buy the hood separately but it seems that Carhartt is now selling their new styles with a detachable hood.

Solid fit and warm
It fits. I just don't understand why the coat doesn't just come with the hood.
