Engineered For Midrange Warmth in Moderately Cold Conditions. See Technology section below for more details.
Carhartt's history in the great outdoors goes back to the 1930s, when we released our first line of hunting gear. This women's jacket continues the legacy under the same name, Super Dux. Whether the outdoors is your workplace or weekend escape, it keeps you covered against the elements. It fights off wind, light rain, and cold, but the real highlight is the nylon. It's lighter and stronger than our traditional duck, so you feel comfortable on the move.
Features
18.1-ounce, 97% Nylon/3% Elastane with Rain Defender® durable water-repellent finish
Built to move with Rugged Flex® stretch technology
The Super Dux collection is named after our first line of hunting gear, released in the 1930s. It's made with nylon that's lightweight and strong, making it comfortable for active days. The reduced weight feels great while hiking, fishing, or just walking around. It also fights off wind, light rain, and cold, so you enjoy the outdoors to the fullest.
Engineered For Midrange Warmth in Moderately Cold Conditions
Gear with a rating of WARMER makes an ideal first-line of defense in cold weather. Delivering the extra warmth that comes in handy when there’s suddenly less daylight but always more to get done. That’s why our LEVEL 2 rated gear is built lighter and more flexible than more traditional heavyweight jackets, but it’s also Sherpa-lined and insulated for greater warmth and comfort.

How to Measure
Note: For best results measure over your
undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.
Bust:
Measure the fullest part of your bust, keeping the measuring
tape parallel to the floor.
Natural Waist:
Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body;
this is your natural waist. Note: It may not be the smallest point.
Hips:
Measure the fullest part of your hips, approximately 8”
below the natural waist.

Overall Great Jacket
The jacket is a lovely deep purple color. Warm. I have worn it out casually and shoveling snow, it's great at keeping you warm. I have not yet been out in any precipitation to speak about water resistance.
The outer shell is a bit stiff especially at the bend in the hood that bumps my head, but when pulled over your head is just fine. The zipper takes a bit of dexterity to start off because the zipper is close to the material of the coat. I would prefer more space for an easy zip up. I think arthritic fingers might find it difficult.
Other than those things, I enjoy the jacket and the Sherpa lining.
