Great shirt. It is my go-to office and field shirt 365. I am sad Carhartt is discontinuing it.

Great shirt, limited availability
I wear these shirts year round. They protect me from the brutal Arizona sun while breathing well enough to prevent overheating while I work on heavy earthmoving equipment. The plaid pattern camouflages the grease, oil, sand, and dirt I pick up daily. The shirts pair very well with the Rugged Pro Relaxed Fit Canvas pants to create a professional look.
The 2XL shirts fit me (6'1", 285 lbs) very well. They allow full range of motion without being excessively baggy. They are one of the few off the rack shirts that still reach my wrists when my arms are above waist height. I reach or crawl into tight spaces with sharp edges regularly. Tears are a regular occurrence, but I have never lost a single button or ripped out a seam. The colors fade due to the harsh detergents I need to use weekly, but even faded the shirts look great.
My only issue is the limited availability. The lightweight shirts are only available for fall season release. Once the run sells. customers are out of luck for the remainder of the year. Oddly, the midweight long sleeve shirts are available year-round, but those are far too warm to wear when the mercury hits triple digits more than 10 months per year. My wife is pretty good at patching the frequent rips and tears, but she can't work miracles. I am often forced to switch to substandard brands when I have destroyed more shirts than anticipated and these lightweight shirts are not available. My preferred pants are always available. If I ruin a pair, I order a pair. Why aren't my favorite shirts available year round?
